FAQ
Questions schools ask us.
Including the ones about what StriveBit ERP doesn't do yet. If yours isn't here, ask us on the demo call.
Switching and setup
Our current ERP works. Why switch?
Then don't switch for the sake of it. Tell us the one thing it does badly — usually fee follow-ups or parent communication — and we'll show you just that, on your data. If it isn't clearly better, we'll say so.
Isn't switching mid-year risky?
Start with parents, attendance and fees now. Move exams and results in April. Nothing from the first half of the year has to be re-entered.
What data do we need to send for setup?
Your student list with a parent phone number for each child, this year's fee structure, and your staff list. Excel, CSV, a Tally export, your old ERP's export or photos of registers all work — we clean and import it, and you check the counts. See the switching plan
How long does it take to go live?
About two weeks for the full switch: data and setup in the first few days, staff training by day four, parents invited by the end of the first week, then a week of close follow-up. Starting mid-year with parents, attendance and fees takes about a week.
What happens after the demo?
Up to three sessions — your workflow, then your own data, then your management if needed. Then you decide. No trial to figure out alone.
Our teachers aren't comfortable with computers.
They need a phone and about 30 minutes. We train at your school, in Hindi or English, and come back if someone needs it again.
The product
Is there an app for parents and teachers?
Yes, on Android and iOS. Parents see attendance, homework, results, timetable and fees, get push notifications and pay online. Teachers mark attendance, enter marks and post homework. A school can have the app listed under its own name.
Can parents pay fees online?
Yes — by UPI, card or net banking from the app or a payment link. The office can also record cash and cheque payments and print a numbered receipt. Overdue dues are reminded automatically every night.
Does it work in Hindi?
Notices and circulars can go out in Hindi as well as English, and the system flags a Hindi version that no longer matches its English. The screens themselves are in English; a Hindi interface is not available yet.
Do notices and fee reminders go by SMS or WhatsApp?
Not yet. Today they reach parents in the app's inbox, as push notifications on their phone and by email. SMS and WhatsApp delivery is on our roadmap.
Can it print report cards?
Not as a per-student PDF yet. Results — totals, percentages, grades and teacher remarks — are calculated automatically and export to Excel. Printable report cards in your school's format are on our roadmap.
Does it support biometric or RFID attendance?
Not yet. Teachers mark attendance from the web or their phone, which takes about a minute per class.
What does the AI actually do?
It drafts notices from a one-line description, rewrites them shorter, warmer or more formal, and produces a Hindi version. Every draft waits for a person to review and send it, and it cannot see student records. It is switched on only if your school chooses, because the text your staff type is processed by an outside AI provider.
Pricing and billing
Why are you more than the cheapest quote we've had?
Because the cheapest quotes buy a login and a help page — nobody sits with your office staff. Ours buys someone who loads your records and fee structure before you go live, trains your staff, and answers the phone in April when fee collection is at its peak.
Can we pay monthly instead?
Not at these prices. Annual billing is what keeps a 600-student school at ₹6.25 per student per month. Schools collect fees annually or termly and budget the same way, so a single April invoice usually fits the office better than twelve reminders.
What if we are between bands — say 620 students?
You pay the band your strength falls in on the day you sign. If you are within about 5% of a boundary, say so on the call — we will hold you at the lower band for the first year.
Do your prices include GST?
No. Every price is exclusive of GST; 18% is added on the invoice.
Can we try it on our own first?
Yes — there is a 14-day self-serve trial with every feature and no card. Most schools get further, faster with a guided demo on their own data. Start the 14-day trial
What happens when the 14-day trial ends?
Nothing is deleted. Your account moves to read-only and everything you entered stays exactly as it is, so if you decide two weeks later, you carry on rather than start again.
Is the price locked for future years?
Your rate is held for the term you have paid. On renewal, any increase is capped at 10% and we tell you at least 60 days before the invoice.
Data, security and fee money
Who owns our data?
You do. It's stored in India on encrypted servers, and fee money goes straight to your bank. How we handle it
Where is our school's data stored?
On Amazon Web Services in Mumbai, encrypted in storage and in transit, with automatic daily backups kept for 14 days. Each school's records are separated from every other school on the platform.
Do you hold our fee money at any point?
No. You connect your school's own Cashfree, Razorpay, PhonePe or Paytm account, and parents' payments settle directly into the school's bank. The money never passes through a StriveBit account, and we take no percentage of it.
Can every staff member see everything?
No. You decide what each role can see and do — an accountant sees fees, not marks — and every change to a record is logged with who made it and when.
Support and training
What training is included?
Role by role: about 30 minutes for the principal and for teachers, 60–90 minutes for accounts, one to two hours for the office, and a five-minute guide for parents. Standard includes two live sessions, Plus four, and Premier unlimited. Request a training session
What happens when new teachers join mid-year?
Ask us for a session and we'll train them. On Premier training is unlimited; on other plans we'll tell you before booking if it isn't covered. Request a training session
How do we get support?
By email on every plan, and by phone from Standard up, Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM IST. Replies come by the next working day on Compact, the same working day on Standard, within 4 working hours on Plus and within 2 on Premier.
Do you come to the school?
Yes. We visit schools across Chandigarh, Haryana and Delhi NCR for demos, setup and training.
Founding schools
What's the catch with the founding-school offer?
We need schools who'll tell us honestly what isn't working. That's what the free months pay for.
Why only 10 founding schools?
Our team sets up every school by hand. 10 is how many we can do properly this year.
What if we don't like it?
Before go-live, your advance comes back in full. After that, our standard cancellation terms apply. Refunds and cancellations
Can you build our school website too?
Yes — we built Gurukul Vishwabharti's. It's ₹5,999 a year + 18% GST.
